"Collar de mariposas monarcas" "Monarchs Butterflies necklace""



This necklace is inspired in the "monarchs butterflies" that come from Canada to Michoacán Mexico, to spend the winter, and to reproduce in Michoacan.

This is really an amazing natural show, that nature give us. If you ever come to Mexico on winter, and have te opportunity to vist Michoacan, really, don't miss it.

The butterlflies are hand made and painted by me. Hope you like it!

This little box that I create, called Xochimilca box, is called "Faeirie's Collage". It has tiny little dolls inspired in the mexican dolls "Lupitas" but dressed and painted liked faeiries, but with a little of Baby Bop inspiration.

"La lucha libre" "the wrestling" is an important part of the mexican pop culture. Here you will find tho wrestlng guys, the bad guy "los rudos" and the good guy "los tecnicos". This is my version, and a tribute to some of our famous wrestlers, "el santo" and "the blue demon".

"Muñequita Lupita de Olinalá" "Little Doll Lupita of Olinala"



This doll, is inspired in the mexican dolls called "Lupita", the purpose was that every little girl can have a doll (in that time they were made of porcelain and were very expensive) so Lupitas were born made by paper.

This Lupita, can move her arms, and legs.

"Vestido" "Dress"



This pieces in cardboard crafting, have little flowers in the skirt of the dress. It's inspired in the femenine coquetry.

This piece in cardboard crafting is an tribute to our famous Mexican paintor Frida Kahlo. This time Frida wear the dress painted in his paint "Here hangs mi dress", "Aqui cuelga mi vestido".

This piece of jewelry is inspired in filigree, a heritage of the hispaniards teaching of working gold and silver, but mostly inspired in the "herrería" ironcraft of many old houses in Mexico. The floral motives, is a tribute to the vast fauna we have in Mexico.

"Cajita xochimilca con calaveritas de azucar" "Little Xochimilca box with sugar skulls"




This jewelry piece is a little "nicho" box that has inside of it, little sugar skulls. In mexico the day of the death (Nov 1 and 2) are days of celebration, remebering our love ones who aren't any more with us. It's a real fiesta, and food is an important part of this celebration. Sugar skulls are one of the candies specially made for this fiesta.
